The songs and melodies of this album originates from countries along the historical Silk-Road: from East-Turkestan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Turkey and Azerbaijan. Josef Olt arranged the music and musical instruments from both, from East and West are represented on this album. Singer Gülay interprets the songs in the original languages. The recordings were made by Peter Koncz in 1993 in Austria at Großer Ehrbarsaal, a wonderful concert hall in the heart of Vienna. The presentation of the records was made also in Vienna at Palais Rasumofsky, also a great place for music performance.
