Album Notes

After entertaining fans in the Northwest for five years, local musicians Sid Beam, Joe Casprowiak, and David Fournier of Gumbo are expected to release their debut album, 'Never Tell Me To Quit' at the end of this month.
Included on the album is the 50 year old Stan Freberg tune, 'Money', a cheerful and energetic romp on currency ironically appropriate given the current state of the economy.

Gumbo's recording of Freberg's 'Money' is already seeing air time on radio stations, internet, and satellite radio where it gets high ratings from listeners. "It's a tongue-in-cheek, jubilant parody of the greed that caused our current economic quandary. We have fun singing it and hope that lots of people at least get a chuckle out of it." says Sid Beam.
