Album Notes

Cleveland’s Gunfire! Getdown! is a virtual jack-hammer of love and despair deep in the pants of rock & roll, soaked with cheap beer and moaning with pleasure & pain somewhere in between the dirty thighs of the Suzi Quatro and the Donnas. The group is a cleveland-all-star band of sorts, featuring members of Crash of '59, the Nick Wolff Band, Switchblade Saints, Who Killed Marilyn, and Immolation Monk.

Originally started as a side-project in early 2007, the band has sneakily evolved from a four-piece punker party into a fully equipped, six-piece rock outfit by adding a second guitar and organ player. The bulk of their songs could be characterized as guitar-heavy, proto-punk without all the busy two-minute solos that seem to plague & muddy the sound of their riffy-rock peers.

Gunfire’s full-length debut, Songs For Trash, was engineered & produced by Ryan Foltz of Rancid, Dropkick Murphy’s fame at Cleveland Audio Studios
