Mark Chaney is a musician, music teacher, and freelance writer. He has performed with a diverse group of musicians, including Vladimir Ussachevsky, Bobby McFerrin, Laurel Masse, Herb Ellis, and Elvin Bishop. Recent CD's from his recording studio include the Saliva Sister's "Spit Happens", "Songs Our Mother Asked Us NOT to Sing", and "Delusions of Granger", and Guy Gig's "Guy Gig ruins Xmas". Mark maintains a busy teaching schedule of drum, keyboard, and group percussion students, in addition to teaching school band for 4-8th graders. The first graduate with a degree in Environmental Science from the University of Utah, Mark's environmentally oriented articles have appeared in Catalyst and Salt Lake City Magazines, and City Weekly. You can hear Mark perform throughout the intermountain west with the Satyrs, the Saliva Sisters, SurFunkaBilly, the Jazzbros, and Guy Gig and the Giggin Guys.
