Album Notes

This is not an album from a folk singer composer with a guitar. Great acoustic versions of Guy Schwartz’ original songs and solo artistry side. Love songs for and about people, places and things - hate songs about wars, bullies, and paranoia about the Man. With rhythms to rock you through the day from a bluesy shuffle to a cooing samba, this is straight ahead classic rock to ride around to. Starting with Schwartz’s startlingly beautiful ode of love to a 'Different Kind', the veteran songster picks up the pace with 'The Glory of Love' until he hits the border of your heart with 'Mexican Tulips'. Hotel rooms in foreign lands can be lonely, and Guy’s 'Loving You Baby' has all the introspection you can stand. His insightful 'Small War' brings you back to the here and now â€" right on time to head back to the hood for 'Spanish Beat'. The topical 'Spider Hole' gets Schwartz’ political bluesy sleazy side working, which leaves him quietly in the thoughtful instrumental 'Wishful Thinking'.
