Greg Wollan and New Command’s “Damascus Journey” release is an eclectic blend of European folk, pop/rock sensibilities with a touch of Americana, featuring a strong focus on acoustic renderings of Greg’s songs. Comprised of Greg Wollan on acoustic guitar/lead vocals, Bruce Bailey on bass/cello/vocals and Bob Knight on bouzouki/mandolin/Dobro/vocals, New Command‘s music explores themes surrounding contemplation, redemption, friendship and healing of the body and the spirit. Dedicated Christ-disciples whose goal is to live lives of authenticity, the guys prefer to think of themselves as artists who are Christians, as opposed to Christian artists… This release is "a long time a 'comin' "for these music-making vets. Between Greg, Bruce and Bob, they have played with or led acts of many genres: progressive rock, country, So Cal singer/songwriter, brit wave, bluegrass, blues-rock, Americana, chamber/classical.
