Album Notes

This first and only release from the Ghostwriters consist of DESR recording artist’s UnknowN and Apaulsoul. The two originally met while doing a show in Colorado, despite never meeting before, the two artist’s had collaborated on S.O.C.O.M.’s “Makeya Fingers Snap” which was featured on his “Time Out” release in 2007. After the show the two instantly became friends, and it was the beginning of something no one was prepared for.

When UnknowN signed onto Double Edge Sword Records, he had already established himself as a credible producer. He’s worked with such artist’s as; 116 Clique, Dedge P, Dillon Chase, S.O.C.O.M., and JayMay to name a few. He released the “Forever Fameless” CD in the summer of 2006. To date the album has sold over 1,000 copies. Apaulsoul, who is the founder of the underground mix tape crew Supertropolis, was out doing solo performances and collaborations in order to expand the group’s territory. Supertroplis has sold over 5,000 copies collectively not only in the United States, but internationally as well; United Kingdom, Australia, Mexico, and Canada.

By 2007 the two artist began talks of future song collaborations, and after an initial two song recording they sensed something bigger which led to a 7-10 songs commitment. Eventually, they decided to complete “Notes To Self” the full length CD produced by both, UnknowN and Apaulsoul. This diverse album features collaborations with Mr. Del of Holy South, Dillon Chase, and BreevEazie from Chicago. It also offers a variety of styles from Crunk, to South, to Reggaeton, and East Coast.

Ghostwriters ministry targets a broad spectrum of walks of life. Their main goal being first to glorify God, secondly to reach lost souls. The group’s lyrics target the lust of mainstream fame, and the reason for the need of God in everyone’s life.
