Album Notes

Not just another "Hot Club" franchise, The Gypsy Hombres came about in the year 1996, in Nashville, Tn. Founded by noted Memphis violnist Peter Hyrka, the Hombres set out to take the classic "Django" gypsy sound and point it into new and fresh directions. While there are many groups that continue to revisit the Quintet of the Hot Club of France, the Gypsy Hombres strive to maintain the integrity of the style, and the energy of the performance, while molding a more contemporary approach.
