Stellar

Haavik’s compositions and improvisational playing are stellar. I hear lots of bits of things in Haavik’s Rocks, including John Lurie, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Branford Marsalis, MMW, Spyro Gyra, Frank Zappa, and ‘80s-era King Crimson, as well as Haavik’s cited influences. The playing is impeccable, creative, and unique. Your enjoyment of this CD will likely increase with each subsequent listen.
