Album Notes

These four under-the-radar Erasure tracks have been re-imagined by Haberdashery in a pure synthpop style. New vocal harmonies pique the ear of the listener who is familiar with these songs, while a fresh and lush electronic treatment is sure to give the casual listener a fair amount of ear-candy. The artists' love for Vince Clarke and Andy Bell comes through in these cover versions and it's clear that he has his own musical style that meshes well with these four timeless songs.

One of the best Erasure covers ever...
author: ErasureKate
.... is Haberdashery's cover of "Mad As We Are." I think I may like it even more than the original version by Erasure. *GASP* You've got to appreciate his interpretations of songs which many of us already deem to be "perfect pop." Go on. Give it a listen. You'll like it! :-)

A blessing for sensitive ears...

All your versions to these 4 Erasure's ballads were pretty enjoyable, but the one who caught me was "Mad As We Are", a song that is probably one of most ignored by fans became incredibly beautiful with your interpretation. It used to be one of the very few songs by Erasure that I disliked, but this has changed drastically for the better after I heard your cover. Thank you, boy!

Alas, a real reconstruction
author: Brian (Chicago)
After legions of aspiring synth-popppers have tried to pay homage to the masters, Haberdashery stands alone in making a relevant and thoughtful reconstruction with four of Erasure's undervalued and much-needed songs from the expanse of their catalogue. While the voice of Haberdashery is no Andy Bell, he does not endeavor to be so. Instead, a personal interpreation with some fresh creativity runs rampant through these essnetional tracks for every Erasure fan. Haberdashery's "Tenderest Moments" is, in a word, beautiful and expounds differnt lines from an already touching song.
