Album Notes

The band Habit consists of three guys from Ardmore Oklahoma who each share a deep appreciation and love for music. The three came together as a band in October of 2001. Josh Vaughn (drummer, background vocals) had just returned from Jupiter, Florida to Ardmore after a three month stint as a professional baseball player for the Montreal Expos. Mark Sullivan (lead guitar) had recently returned home to Ardmore from Atlanta, Georgia where he was attending the Atlanta Institute for Music. Josh and Mark had been friends throughout their school years. Aaron Vaughn (lead vocals, rhythm guitar) was attending college in Durant at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Josh and Mark frequently visited Aaron at his Durant home and soon decided to move there.

The three began writing together soon after. All the songs on the acoustic ep were written and arranged at their Timberline Drive residence. The band's first attempt at recording was done at a studio in Silo Oklahoma. A Christmas gift from Aaron and Josh's cousin Cody Spoon (web designer, future manager, future bus driver, future roadie, future bodyguard) provided the funds needed to record the demo. Two of the songs from that demo are included on the acoustic ep. The acoustic ep was recorded in Marietta Oklahoma with producer, Shane Norton of Smooth Operations. The profit (if any) made from the selling of this acoustic ep will go toward the production of a full band cd including electric guitar full drums and bass....in other words it's gonna rock!!!
