Sometimes you can create music that is very close and dear to you, only to have it sit on a shelf.
That's what happened to the new self-titled CD by Haegers Bend.
Using every instrument and tool they had to create some of the band's best songs to date, Haegers Bend releases it's fifth CD a few years after the fact.
Not recorded in a real studio but at Soundspace # 9 ( the band's practice space) this was a great way for the band to recorde 14 songs that the had been working on.
Haegers Bend took some old and some new songs and all the recording equipment they had or could borrow and set out to record the best demos they could make themselves.
The idea was to get into a studio and re-record them, but for various reason that did not happen.
But what the band did end up with was 14 songs that had a great feel and vibe that the band had created at that time during live shows and in a stidio setting.
What is left is a very strong 10 song CD that Haegers Bend can feel proud of.
Not a lo-fi recording by the true sense but not a full studio recording either.
Just what the band had to create doing it all themselves.
It is something that could just not sit around and never be released; it's too good for that.
