Pulse of Rock Identified
author: Kurtz Oneday
Music is the life and blood of the soul put into sonic waves crunching against the ear drum and the heart of all people. I'd have to say through several listens that IDENTIFY clearly accomplishes this, and it's clear Haitz has had the same experience in creating this album. From the first track, there is the laten, digitized whisper that the following tracks have been created through hard work and intense musicianship. From Identify and on, the crunch of brutal riffs reigns supreme. However, its the vocals from Haitz that are the biggest suprise. One usually does not welcome comparisons, but the voice we hear closely resembles Layne Staley (RIP). This is greatly welcomed. The howls and growls, the whining charisma, only is more defined and prominent as the album continues. The tracks that definitely stand out are September, Spirit Fly, Head trip, and It's not Easy. What I truly love, besides the strong voal presence, is the guitar work. Exploding into directions unforseen, uncompromised, and unflinching. Haitz tears through tracks with brutality. After IDENTIFY's conclusion, the only thing left is to see the band live, and I intend to do this. But you must intend to buy this record now, and hopefully "identify" with the passion and talent of Haitz. One piece of advice, start with the last track. It is the disclaimer, and gives the entire rationale for this rock experience. Great work and a great album!

Hot, powerful guitars! Very tight band.

Hot, powerful guitars! Very tight band. These guys are top quality musicians and it comes through loud and clear on this CD. Great pace and flow to each song and to the track selection as well. My favorites are: Deeper and Spirit Fly. These songs should be on the radio. There's lots of layers and texture to the music without making it complicated and difficult to engage-- these guys are straight-up Rock 'n' Roll. No, they're Rock with mucho Soul. Ike Turner in a mosh pit. I can't wait to see Haitz live!
