Album Notes

Hakan gives us a voice like John Denver's, wit like John Prine's and the subtle poetry of John Gorka.

This collection draws from several years to give us a Greatest Hits of songs most often requested by live audiences. Many of these songs have won songwriting awards, including Salt & Pepper Days, Barbara's Place and Socrates & the Angel of Death.

This is a No Drum product. The guitar and vocals come through without getting buried in the production. There's some tasteful cello, accordion, banjo and fiddle used sparingly throughout this album. You can understand every word.

The guitar sound is clear and luscious. The melodies will have you whistling in the shower and the stories will get you wondering about the world in new ways. Don't miss this one.

Folk at its Best
author: Forrest
Great stories. That's what this album is about. From a Shawnee Farm through a Dandelion Garden to Barbara's Place all the way In Midtown, David weaves wonderful stories that ride on his folk style vocals and guitar. It's quiet intimacy is perfect for easy listening while kickin' back in the recliner or drivin' down the highway.

sweet uncontrived record
author: Rechelle
If you like music that makes you feel like you are sitting around a campfire with your friends, you will love this record. It is real, uncontrived and completely unpretensious. A sweet record with songs about sweet slices of life. You'll want a good cup of coffee and a nice easy chair to go with it, then sit back and enjoy.
