Album Notes

Michael Wojtalewicz and his home are at the center of this St. James, MN trio. Half Dug took their name from the garden-level room in his home where they all hung out. Mike’s grunge- and punk-influenced songwriting is also the backbone of their music, with Lewis and Luke both grounding and complimenting these songs about relationships and communication.

Half Dug’s self-titled album evokes early-90’s alternative rock to set the backdrop for their teenage contemplations on life and love. Angst, defiance, and discovery juxtapose regret, reflection, and confusion, setting the band (and listener) at a crossroads. The past and future pull from either side – at times violent and others gentle, but always engaging.
