Half-Tone Records was established in 2005 as an independent label for unsigned artists. Mature, fresh & original adult/contemporary sounds is what Half-Tone is all about. You wont find tired cover versions or reworked and resampled noise here, only wonderfully rich songs, melodies and performances. I urge you to discover what new music is all about.

A stylish, professional, ecclectic original combo by fabulous artists
author: Donna Williams
Having heard several of these wonderful performers live (including the fabulously stylish Janette Geri), this sampler is a gem for Christmas, to welcome in the New Year or simply a combination of uplifting, grounding, laid back, raunchy, moving and experimental tracks for any day of the year.

A STRONG compilation.

At last!! Somebody's trying to bring to the world, some of the MOUNTITUDINOUS talent that live in and are inspired by the Dandenong Hills, to the East of Australia's music capital, Melbourne. Very seldom do I ever buy or hear a Compilation album where I'm BLOWN AWAY, I mean, the hairs rise and I begin to feel real sexy. Four trax from this are doing it to me right now. Jeanette Geri's Dragonfly, Now You Know, by Dean Stevenson, Beck Sian's vibeyness kills me and Tracy Roberts, Night in Amsterdam makes me want to see the slideshow. These are for me, four STANDOUT songs/productions on a Sampler that proves that Julie was right! The Hills are indeed, alive. Worth taking time for a listen b4 u buy!

Excellent Australian music showcase from the hills around Melbourne.
author: Brian Baker
A strong collection from artists in the Dandenong Ranges east of Melbourne, Australia. I've been to the regular Wednesday night Halftone Records showcase at the Aztec Bar in Belgrave and stand ready to bear witness to the worthyness of these acts.
Fresh singer/songwriters and some interesting pop psychedelia.
