Seeing as Bill "Halfway" Hamill is of Irish descent, it's no suprise that he would want to record such an iconic song in "The Wild Rover". Growing up on Detroit's east side, St. Patrick's Day was almost as celebrated as Christmas in the Hamill Family. Bill remembers fondly the sounds of his uncle and cousin's traditional Irish band. More known for his punk rock band "Detroit Perfect" and his own melodic hard rock, Bill wanted to pay homage to all those that came before him.
