Album Notes

Formed in 1983, Atlanta\'s HALLOWS EVE released 4 albums on the METAL BLADE label - (Tales Of Terror, Death & Insanity, Monument, and \'06s History Of Terror box set) Classic thrash albums very early in the movement. On this the 25th Anniversary of HALLOWS EVE, Atlanta\'s thrash-metal veterans have re-formed once again to release their new album THE NEVERENDING SLEEP...This is classic HALLOWS EVE in the vein of Tales of Terror, Death and Insanity, and Monument. Co-founders Tommy Stewart (bass) and ST Andersen (lead vocals) are now back together after splitting in 1989. They have now joined ranks with ex-RIGOR MORTIS vocalist/ guitarist Doyle Bright along with prominent Atlanta veterans Jim Gorman on drums (Lastregus Nosferatu, Distemper, Ilk), and Guitarist Chris Abbamonte (Distemper, Ilk). Stewart has returned to the roots of the group after several versions of the band re-surfaced in the \'90s and then releasing \'05\'s EVIL NEVER DIES with another version of the band.

REVIEWS

It's o.k.

In my opinion "The neverending sleep" is in every case better than "Monument" or "Evil never dies"! BUT: I think the sound of the album could be much better and the songs are not as good as the songs on the band's two masterpieces "Tales of terror" and "Death and insanity". So it's only a "nice" album, not more.

Excellent but...

This Cd is an excellent addition to my thrash collection but the recording is horrible. The songs are great, good rhythms, beats and lyrics, you just cant crank it up or its really distorted. Even on low volume its hard on the delicate ears. But that said Nice job on the songs though. Its still hard not to listen to over and over!

This is THE One!

This is the one us fans have been waiting for. The Neverending Sleep can sit proudly alongside T.O.T., D.A.I., and Monument. Classic Hallows Eve without sounding dated at all. Thanks Tommy and company for the killer album.
