Defying Convention
author: G
One can speculate about their influences - early punk or heavy metal - but Halosik has a style wholly unique. The music is a sensory experience provoking physical and emotional reactions ranging from anger and agitation to a sense of urgency. The lyrics possess a duality in nature, both dark and light, pessimistic and optimistic. The edginess of the music does not mask the passion of the lyrics but rather complements them, giving the words conviction. Favorite tracks: Apocalyptic Sodomy and Overman.

A beautiful blend of metal, punk and vocal stylings
author: Infidel Disastro
The Halosik cd incorporates the necessary elements of punk-driven guitar riffs, accented by moments of blues and old school hip hop drumming. It is a darker version of bands like Bad Religion and the Clash. St. Demon's vocals are reminiscient of the early days of punk molded together with moments of metal guitar string manipulation. Punks, Headbangers, and all the alike will enjoy this interesting musical production.

A New Direction
author: the [EDGE] underground
Beyond the Gates Production Company has produced the new wave of Nu Metal. This album is full of many reflection of death, opinion on the Christian values, and self observation among the mist of society. With incredible guitar riffs and a vocal sound that seems as eerie as the lyrics that are sung, HALOSIK will redefine the definition of controversy. What I love about the vocals is hint of innocence that is lost in the deconstruction of "norm" in society. Secondly, is the guiartist ability to bring back the classical metal riffs back!! WICKED!! There are some songs and areas that the range of the vocal does not match the powerful lyrics and music. Check this album out if you are brave enough and opened-minded to understand and respect the fine craftsmanship of Halosik.
Songs recommendation:: REVELATIONS 9:11, BEYOND THE SECOND GATE and ASHES

Old and new meet with revelations into the future
author: Jimmi (BCflex)
St. Demon does it again! The album has many themes dealing with the ethics and morals of a modern Christian society and how so many people contradict them with their actions. We also hear about the contradictions of Christian doctrine and how so many still follow blindly without reflection. How does this interact with modern society? St. Demon lets us know while the music, especially the guitar riffs keep us interested in hearing more. It is a breath of fresh air to hear classic heavy metal riffs and traditional punk all in one CD. Halosik: The Rise of Apollyon is the future of rock-n-roll.
