ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Finally the critically acclaimed debut LP from this popular SF Bay Area blues duo is available digitally remastered and with a bonus (previously unreleased) acoustic track included. This LP reached BILLBOARD MAGAZINE'S TOP TEN for radio play in the Pacific Northwest when it was originally released in 1987, and it remains a staple of blues radio today, thanks to clean classic production by David Burgin, a killer band featuring the singular rhythm guitar of AMOS GARRETT, keyboards by ROBERT CRAY's JIMMY PUGH, HUEY LEWIS horn man ROB SUDDUTH, and VAN MORRISON bassist DAVID HAYES, along with a host of other great players, DOUG's stinging guitar work, and, obviously...JAN'S voice...and their way cool songs.

CHECK OUT WHAT REVIEWERS HAVE SAID ABOUT THIS RECORD:

"...Hamblin and Faucci are a twosome specializing in ..well, fiery, bluesy, incredibly sincere music. Doug Hamblin with a superb backing band, kicks necessary booty, Jan Fanucci is a modern blues madame singing much the same way England's Alf Moyet does, with youthful contemporary exuberance, but with a tip-of-the-hat to elder masters like Lady Day and Etta James...This record kicks the crap out of most of the "major label" stuff I listened to...get your own copy 'cuz I ain't givin' up mine!" --Kent Zimmerman, The Gavin Report

"Tired of the same ol' blues? This one may be just what the doctor ordered." --College Music Journal

High Energy-WOW
I heard your music when this album came out on a Seattle radio station that no longer exists. Of course I bought it and I loved it.It came up missing and a few years later I tried to find it with no luck. One night I was playing around on the computer and I couldn't belive it,there it was at cd baby. I'm so happy and grateful that it came in my life again. Thanks

The best. Nothing else lifts me up like this.
My favorite album all time. No kidding. And what a thrill to finally find it on CD! The music is big, powerful, sultry - it carries you, moves you. Jan's voice is amazing. The guitars and horns aroutstanding.

I'm so glad I finally found it!
A few years ago I had given up on finding this on CD, but am now the proud owner of this awesome music! I love it and can't wait to share it with everyone I know who appreciates fantastic blues. Thank you.

Better than I remember !!!!
I had this album back in the 80's, and saw Jan Fanucci was performing again in San Francisco and on a whim I looked for this on CD and found it on CD Baby. The digital sound jumps right out of my speakers and it sounds like Jan and Doug are in the room with me. Fantastic music. Finally on CD.
