Album Notes

Sure, Alexander Hamilton lost his duel with Aaron Burr, but then Burr isn't on the $10 bill. And more importantly, he doesn't have a band named after him (as far as we know).

In the spirit of the Smithereens, Paul Weller, and the Lemonheads, Hamilton (singer/guitarist Greg Lalas, bassist Dean Taormina, percussionist Peter Lavelle, and drummer Joe Marone) has been building a reputation around Boston for thoughtful songs and great live gigs, headlining local clubs with their simple brand of pop rock. The results are emotional, driving shows that prick all the senses.

Hamilton's debut CD, "H", was recorded at Q Division Studios in Somerville, MA. "H" was produced by Matthew Ellard, who has worked with The Lemonheads, Tanya Donelly, and Tugboat Annie, among others.

I must admit I was very impressed with the CD. For an underground band or any band, this CD is exceptional. It contains a song for about every mood an individual can experience, from heartbreak to blissful love.
