Hamilton County is a progressive bluegrass band combining traditional bluegrass, new acoustic music and jazz to create a new acoustic sound in the modern tradition of Bela Fleck and David Grisman among others. Founded by Bob Hamilton on Guitar the trio also includes Adam Montminy on Upright Bass and Evan Chase on Mandolin.

Started in the winter of 2007, this talented group has played some of Portland's favorite venues. Although bluegrass music is the common thread that brought us all together, the band goes beyond the typical bluegrass songbook. The set list includes originals, fiddle tunes, world music, swing, gypsy jazz, and banjo breakdowns.The rich interplay of these three talented musicians is sure to impress.

The debut album from the talented Hamilton County, Brokedown Breakdown is a collection of original songs influenced by bluegrass, jazz, swing, and world music.
