This album takes great songs and makes them contemporary by giving incredible grooves to the classic gospel hits. The lead sax is blended with vocals at points in the arrangement and is so beautiful it uplifts the spirit. Not many artists have used traditional gospel songs and made them this accessible with sax as the lead but because all the elements are still there from the original song and you get the modern sounds and playing from the musicians you end up with a new spin on everything that brings it slamming into the 21 century. The idea of enjoying classic songs with great messages in their choruses but with the feel and delivery of modern players and production is something that appeals to everyone.
