Album Notes

This project was born out of the extended efforts of Clarksdale Area Habitat for Humanity and local musicians. This idea turned into a CD filled with a broad variety of music by artists from the Delta, including not only Blues and Gospel cuts, but also some Folk and Rock songs. This compilation is a celebration of the incredible cultural history of the Delta as well as a call to action for all who are dedicated to eliminating one of the most devastating and widespread problems the Delta faces today: substandard housing. Proceeds from this CD go towards building new Habitat homes in the area, helping to provide hope to families for a safer future.

REVIEWS

Hammer in the Delta
author: Brent Seals
I purchased this CD for two reasons. One,to support Habitat for Humanity, whom I have worked with in building a home. Two, I have liked Delany and Bonnie since the seventies-have all their CD's- and similiar sounding Blue Mother Tupelo who are from my area and are nice folks. I discovered, after one listen, I liked them all. Great CD.
