Album Notes

Hammer Down was formed in March '06 when some old friends, well known in the S.J./ Philly rock scene, ran into each other at a club one night. Their conversation soon turned to original music and what they had been up to band-wise. They made plans to get together and the chemistry was magic. A year of Saturday jams later, they had 19 songs and decided it might be cool to record them. Having a hard time deciding which songs to record, the band finally settled on 14 out of the 19 songs. They headed over to Why Me? Recording in S.Jersey, and with long time friend Joe DeLuca at the console created "Spend It Like Money", a collection of bluesy hard rockin' songs that exceeded their expectation's. If you're a fan of old school rock n' roll, Hammer Down is the band for you. Their hook laden, guitar driven songs are sure to set your pulse into overdrive. If they can't rock ya,........you're already dead!
