Hammer began to pursue his musical ambitions in 2004 and although his keen interest subsided in his sub conscience, peers were well aware of his potential talent. Whilst being influenced by various music genres, Hammer started to take part in freestyle battles and it wasn’t long before he generated a well known status, unaware of attracting his own fan base.

Whilst perfecting his new found craft Hammer met fellow artist and good friend Jeeday Jawz who was at the time part of a UKG collective, Menace 2 Society, and it wasn’t long before Hammer became a member. The group was well known for hosting their own show on pirate radio station Mystic FM, which became the main platform in exposing their abilities as a collective.

Having a versatile ear to music, Hammer has a very distinctive sound within his lyrical content as well as his voice which attracts the younger generation as well as the mature crowd. Whether it’s a sing-a-long or something you can relate to, Hammer is consistent with representing his versatility.

Setting a strong presence within the underground scene Hammer has performed across London and surrounding areas, including hosting his own events through his company Litehouse Entertainment. Collaborations include ‘Stinkin Remix’ featuring Skepta, ‘Polygraph’ single taken from Statiks album which also featured artists JME, Skepta, Big H, Scorcher, Ghetto, Nappa, Prez T…as well as working closely with Jeeday Jawz on his forthcoming projects.

In 2008 Hammer began to focus on representing solo projects and released his first official single ‘Stinkin’, produced by top UK producer Dexplicit, promoted himself across various UK radio stations such as KISS FM, 1Xtra, BBC Asia, Rinse FM, Radio Cardiff, Ibza FM, Diverse 101, Pyro Radio, Manic FM, Sweet FM, Phat Beats and Flavour Radio to name a few, as well generating promo across various European and US stations.

The ‘Stinkin’ music video was released in December and the single was released on iTunes and various digital music stores on the 15th December 2008, this video received great rotation on Channel U and put Hammer on an even larger platform which created the opportunity to collaborate with the likes of ‘Jammer’ an extremely well know and respected artist from the grime scene for his current single ‘Hurricane’. Hurricane is set to be released digitally 20th July.

Without concluding promotional tactics for this project, Hammer has been participating in the Hurricane Radio Tour in aim to promote his single. The tour to date has included interviews with DJ Stanza, Dexplict & Slick D at Pyro Radio, DJ Sketche and The Rolex Show at Manic FM, Scratcha DVA, SK Vibemakers, DJ Spyro and DJ Vectra at Rinse FM, DJ Limelight at BBC Asia, Cameo at 1Xtra and Raw Vibes at Déjà vu.

As Hammer continues to develop his musical art and build upon his own empire, only time will demonstrate the rise and rise of a successful entrepreneur.
