"an extraordinary effort, full of intelligent story songs, strong melodies, expressive singing and musicianship" - Paul Liberatore, Marin IJ

  • Noelle rocks!
    author: Charlie

A great CD - especially "Murder & Mayhem" and "Vampires" are my favourites. Noelle has so much power and a voice that just rocks: cool and sensitive at once. Folk-rock at its finest.

  • Awesome!

I miss hearing Noelle and company live in the Bay Area, but this is the next best thing. The album is actually richer and more musically complex than I remembered. "If You're the One" is as powerful as "Georgie" is heartbreaking. Go Noelle!

Heard Noelle on the soundtrack of the short film bigLove and knew she had whatever it is that makes one luminous. Bought “Under These Skies” and it just confirmed my suspicion. Amazing new talent with a bright future, you’ll be glad you picked up this album just to say to your friends, “Oh yeah? Well, I knew her when . . .”

  • Instant classic!!

Oh my Gawwdd!! What a great CD. Just love it and have nearly worn it out in the CD player. "I Know It's You" has got be one of the best songs I've heard in years. "Goodbye Century" is great too. The whole damn CD is great!! You go girl! Can hardly wait to see what she does next.

  • Damn, this is good!

I heard "Leo" on a CDBABY sampler, loved it, and took a chance on this CD --- it's been lodged in my CD player ever since. "I Know It's You" is one of most beautiful songs I've heard in a long time. Strong and distinctive vocals; excellent and varied songwriting; great musicianship; and, top-notch production...what's not to love?

  • Very good CD. Reminds me some of Lucinda Williams.
    author: Kasperovich

This CD is very good with a "country" flavor to it, sort of in the Lucinda Williams vein. I like it pretty well.

  • Elegant!
    author: Joshewah
