Hey there folks. Like moonshine this music disc is hand made and homemade. It's a CDR with nice printed artwork. But it is a CDR.
Todd Novak's Hamster Ranch was born one hot summer day in 2004. Todd entered his home studio laboratory wearing only shorts and a cowboy hat, and a few hours later gave birth to a one man band hillbilly monster. It was Black Sabbath's Paranoid and Iron Man done country style.
Like a frankenstein music monster is was built brick by brick with tambourine, jews harp, bass, and guitar laid down with no help from outside hands. Once complete this disc was gifted to several local bay area radio station djs including Karson from KPIG who started playing it regularly on his graveyard shift. The Hamster Ranch grew, and became uncontrollable! Ahhhhhh!
A friend who knew Ozzy's soundman gifted 4 of these discs to the Ozzsters soundman. He took them on the road. Played it at Oz fest we're told, and eventually it made it to Ozzy's hands. He liked it! He signed a copy to be returned to Todd. No joking. Ozzy added a Hamster Ranch to his collection. True story! Life is stranger and better than fiction. If you'd told Todd that 2 hours in his home studio singin' and playin' all of the instruments on countrified Black Sabbath songs would lead to this, he'd a tried to sell ya some swamp land in Florida. Enjoy, and remember I AM IRONMAN!

awesome!

OMFG I've heard some weird covers in my life, but few manage to capture the song in its new arrangement like they're SUPPOSED TO BE that way...I actually came across this while looking for something else, but it caught my eye in a strange way, so I figured I'd order it and if I didn't like it, I could always return it or put it up on eBay.
NO SUCH LUCK!
This CD will be in my collection for the foreseeable future and beyond. I wouldn't mind if he decided to crank out a few more Sab covers like this, or even manage to put together a whole CD of them.
I do put forth a warning though: Only purchase if you have a sense of humor about your music. I can see a real serious Sabbath fan having real problems with this CD (even though it does seem to have the Ozzy Okeydoke LOL)
