The combination of Stephanie's voice and the musicianship on this project is outstanding. Her renditions of "Spring Can Hang You Up the Most", "Willow Weep for Me" and the original arrangement of the medley "Well You Needn't Killer Joe" are sweet and memorable. The other classics on this project are great as well. Overall this project is an excellent production. Mike..

Stephanie Sharing Her Love
author: Mac Daddy

This lady is another well kept American secret and it's shame as this album is a great introduction for any jazz singer and I am not talking jazzlite as she is the real deal and sings it. Her voice reminds me of some of the greats no longer with us such as Ella and Sarah but Stephanie has her own voice, own style which is self-evident through the album, Her version of Dindi is oozing with feeling and love as she sings for you, hard not to be hypnotised by it. An album rich in texture and colour (close your eyes fro that) as she strips away many a layer on a song and gives us what we want her voice in all it's majesty. The quality of the musicianship is excellent and I'd love to hear all the players on this album playing live. This album was made in 2001, so when will the next album be forthcoming Stephanie as fans are waiting but in the meantime buy this album and you wont be disappointed.

For anyone interested in real music, real songs, real musicians, and a real singer then this is the cd for you. Stephanie's voice is elegant, lush, and full of texture. Her interpretations of these long standing classics are reminiscent of Ella Fitzgerald meets Sarah Vaughn meets Nancy Wilson yet performed with a freshness and style unique only to Stephanie Hancock. Don't miss out on this beautiful work of soul soothing music!
