Brian Hand is a long time performer, teacher, multi-instrumentalist and composer of percussion -based music. He was formerly with Babatunde Olatunji's Drums of passion. His release of "Global Warming" with long time Frank Zappa vibraphone/percussionist Ed Mann recieved international critical acclaim.
Brian's improvisational compositions express his love of all music, especially jazz, African, sacred music. He leads and follows himself, weaving the sounds of a wide array of instruments from around the world, into music that defies strict classification or category. Each musical moment is at once an expression and discovery.
