Hank Smith, Songwriter/Singer/Performer, from Waynesburg, Kentucky (USA).
Following a short stint in the US air force intelligence (1977-1980), Hank returned to Ky and began performing all over Ky, Ind and Ohio as a solo, performing at music venues, cafe's, festivals.
In 1981, Hank made his first trip to Nashville, on a Greyhound Bus, with a guitar in 1 hand and a suitcase in the other and $50 in his pocket...next thing you know, Hank was playing all over Nashville and sat in one Saturday afternoon with Bill Monroe at a Festival. Then he toured/played live shows from Michigan to Memphis and St Louis, to West Texas to the Carolina's, to Florida and most everywhere in between.
In 1985, Hank moved to Germany and began performing at Music Venues all over Germany...and in 2001, Hank began performing all over Europe (Germany, Luxembourg, France, Belgium, Holland, Poland, Ukraine, Russia, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary)...
From 2001-2003, Hank performed often (in Germany) with Carl Berg (Charly Maxx) and Rudi Braun, as the "Carry On" Band. Carry On Members co-wrote a few songs, recorded many "live" performances, but never released a CD together.
In 2005, Hank released his CD "Keep The Love Alive".
In 2006, Hank released his CD "Til the Day is Done".
In 2011, Hank released his CD "Dreams".
In 2012, Hank released his CD "Long Way To Go".
Many have compared his style to: Bob Dylan, The Band, Johnny Cash, Lightnin' Hopkins, Hank Williams and others.
Folk-Rock'n Boogie, Jazzy Country Blues....
some call it "Americana"...
In 2012, Hank moved back to the USA and re-formed his Band, and is booking a U.S. Tour for 2013.
