Album Notes

"Blues is almost like a form of therapy. But, the emotions and expressions must be real, since an audience will not be fooled." The one who makes a statement like that is far from trying to fool his audience and that is the last thing Hermann Posch would ever do. He has founded his band Fall in Blues in 1999 and lead it straight to the top without hype, playing the acoustic as well as the electric blues with heartfelt intensity.

If you want to follow your own path and leave unique tracks, you can't be disturbed, but have to continuously focus on your goal, even if there are obstacles that seem uncircumventable. Sometimes you do have the "Blues in the City". Hermann Posch is blessed with an unbendable creativity and lives it out in his songs. With smokey voice and exquisite guitar work he lays down songs proofing Willie Dixon´s statement that "the blues are the facts of life". Paul Kozakiewicz on bass and Hardy Auer on drums provide a full rhythmic foundation. " Newbie" Tom Hornek enhances with a rich variety of key works.

Fall in Blues´ musical self-confidence that is earned but also evident in their song-writing craft. After all that´s the only way to earn a lasting spot in the history of music. From the grooving "Border to Border" that brings up memories of JJ Cale, the thoughtful ballade "Sweet Emotion", the melancholy "No Peace of Mind" that will go deep under the skin, or the jazzy "Yellow Moon" all the way to the mourning slow blues in "Blues in the Bottle, Hermann Posch never looses himself in banalities or pleasing, but proofs again how the blues is part of all facets of life. "Blues is pure Emotion" espouses the recently deceased Bill Perry. Fall in Blues proof it!
