After several years and six albums disguised as a solo singer-songwriter, Sam traded in her Martin and her earnest eyebrows for a Fender Telecaster and a head full of chili red hair. She founded indiepunk outfit the happy problem in LA, the debut EP finding great success with endorsements from Rocktron Pedals and GHS Strings, and many songs getting placed on TV shows including "Privileged" on the CW, "Greek" on ABC Family, "Teen Mom" on MTV, "Stoked" on Cartoon Network, and more. Tired of breathing smog, Shaber moved home to NYC where she met energetic drummer Tony Cortes and got to work on the band's full-length follow-up, Head Case. Now the pair have added powerful bassist Joe Nerve to the mix. Sam now enjoys playing guitar really loudly, wearing very short skirts, and NOT driving 50,000 miles a year to play in church basements and sing over bean grinders. (Though the scones were nice.) And Tony, when he's not working on his wrestling video or training his friends to box, enjoys perfecting happy problem set lists and mugging for any camera that'll have him. Stay tuned for video releases, live shows and more total awesomeness. www.thehappyproblem.com.
