Album Notes

Dave, Laura and Marcy have been together for six years now. We've been called to witness to the world and shine the Light of Christ into the darkness. We know that music has the ability to touch people in a way that printed and spoken words alone do not. This CD’s message is one of hope, grace, forgiveness and love that can only be found in the person of Jesus Christ. The music speaks to this truth. We pray that it will speak to you and draw you closer to Jesus, your personal Savior.

Hopefully the cover will stand out and be artistically intriguing. We want to attract attention, but with style. We want the quality of the graphics to match the quality of the music inside. We want people to pick up the CD and flip it to the back and think, hmm...this could be worth a listen. Then we stand back as the Holy Spirit works in their hearts.

We didn't want "flowers and bunnies" here. We wanted a backdrop that had an "edge" to it...that placed Christian artists in the middle of some of the grittiness of the world. Not pretty, not clean. But you'll notice that we look happy to be there. We're confident, even empowered-looking because we are ambassadors to a King who can't wait to share His message of forgiveness, love and grace. The cover photo was shot at the Koken Art Factory, a converted warehouse on St. Louis' southside.

The CD was recorded in Nashville (Franklin, actually), Tennessee with some of the very best studio and tour musicians on the Christian music scene today. Our producer and arranger was Scott Williamson, absolutely incredible...thanks, Scott. You took every one of these songs to a new level. And Dark Horse Studios has spoiled us for any other recording facility...wow.

If you're listening to Christian music for the first time , you'll notice that it's like any other popular music, but with lyrics that your children can and should hear. There are Christian musicians and artists in every conceivable music genre. Find one or two types that you like and explore. God loves to talk to His people through music. Allow yourself to be open to His calling. He wants so much to have a personal relationship with you. But He won't force that relationship. You have to be open to Him. Say a prayer and ask Jesus to come into your life. It's that simple. Then get in the habit of listening to Christian music when you're in your car or working out at the gym. It makes an incredible difference in your life.

Jesus can and will change your life...now and for all eternity! He's waiting for you to call on Him.
