His older brother terrence started a group call K.o.d which stand for Kids of distruction. which freddy-d was the lead vocalist along with brother joshua smith, jason harris, and darnell thompson all recorded and growing. together. they were separated by the streets everyone body went there own way but freddy-d said with it. claims a close friend,. who watch him grown in to the person he is today. Fred father left before his kids were able to show there many talents. his mother quotes. he would work very hard at everything he would do. basketball was his key. he would be up all nite and day at the courts they named the biddy's learning how to dribble and shoot. but because of problems with his knees freddy-d would have to take his music to the next level. so many ups and downs. for a youth who came from the ghetto of the suburbs of long island, it was then his newly encounter. boyz shamiek moye, wonkama ochei, casper gomez would formed Gs grove street/God soilders. along with brother cecil smith they would record in a bathroom for some reason the whole street was in the session. freddy-d thought it was the top from there. but i guess it would go down hill. after his mother would lose the house out of desperation to save her kids. from violence and trouble. poor freddy-d would have to live out of a car and hotel with mom and younger brother. things was were so bad. but was it. finally back on there feet. freddy-d started recorded again under the name hard tymez rerouted his directons as the saviior of hip hop. hard tymez met freddie foxx a.k.a bumpy knuckles and was able to speak with him on the daily about the things the industry would have to offer for an artist in his caliber, hard tymez was performing for a nice size crowd with the presence of chuck-d from public enemy. after his performance chuck d would approach hard tymez and praise his performance tymez was star shock. and so star shock he just walked off smiling without changing any contact information. then there was this song hard tymez recorded at the same studio fifty cent recorded a song with self with trackmaster. called beat the street. the engineer compared the too new york artist highly cause of there high voices. hard tymez wouldn't let struggles bare him down. offer a deal with nile rodgers after rich london threw some guitar strings on hard tymez cut beat the street and let nile hear it, which hard tymez was sought after hard. but after record three songs. hard tymez would shy away cause of the fact that they wanted a hardrock rap album. and freddy-d felt he had to knit his roots before anything. so the deal was tooking off the table. rumored to be a 1.5 millino dollar deal. hard tymez wouldn't stop but he would have a overload. so much going on he dropped out of school. now he's looking at the game from a whole new perspective. it was show time he took all knowledge he gain and build his own studio and locked his self in the basement. hard tymez renewed his self after recorded mix cd Go hard or starved. they his record labels hard from def jam to sony. hard tymez met a couple of artist who were out from nas to noreaga to jayz. he would then take a chance at helping his brother reached and dream by helping out the family. so hard tymez packed all belongings and headed to va. i mean everything first week there they recorded classic cd called ground zero. which was inspire by the falling of the twin towers under the name brothers keepa. they recieve so many letter of intent for the album. hard tymez signing autographs. is was very hard trying to make it with the two having differences. then there was a phone called as hard tymez laid sick of the flu. he would learned that his best friend and long time partner shamiek moye a.k.a Mochino was gunned down. around the way from there child hood block.
