Album Notes

Rolland Harisona Paillat, went into the music as a drummer when he was 16'. He started playing guitar and singing in solo when his last punk-rock band (Datura) stopped in 2002.
Shortly after, he met Emeric Chauvet who was playing percussions for himself. The band initially called Jam Master.
They played mostly in pubs and bars at the beginning.
After few gigs in La Rochelle and the west of France, his great friend, Frantz Gauviniere (ex guitarist of Datura), joined the band on the bass.
They called the band Harisona and the Jam Muppets and recorded their first single "My Love" in 2004. They met the next year, Andy Pyatt a very inspired and talented english guitarist who played before in blues, jazz and bluegrass bands.

They recorded the same year their first album "Les passagers" and a Spanish project called "Balencia" in the feeling of Santana.

Rolland Harisona compose a very particular and profund music. Between folk, rock, tribal and an island style (he lived 10 years in Reunion island and few years on a boat in the indian ocean). There is also a spiritual touch wich Rolland Harisona assumes as a large part of his music.

The Jam Muppets was a pure “DIY” group since their beginning in 2003; doing all by themselves: albums, publicity, concerts, siteweb, artwork, photos…etc.
They worked with various actors in the french music industry, such as Jacques Chopin (Mayra Andrade), Guizmo (Tryo), Alexandre Gonot (Alanis Morissette, Muse, Lara Fabian…etc).
With more than 200 concerts (clubs, festivals, summer-stages…), the group become a serious and confident choice on the west coast.
The band had changes along the years. Andy Pyatt left the band in 2008 because he returned in England. Pierre (Cailloux) Chabaut replaced him with success. David Legal played a second percussion for few gigs and also worked with Rolland on some duet with two guitars. Some friends also helped the band at the management during a short period of time.

In 2009 Rolland decided to take – such as Ben Harper or Springsteen some of his references – a more intimate road, with his creations composed during 2008-2009.
He made a summer tour, just playing with his friend Emeric Chauvet (on the guitar, percussions and singing).

His second album called "Un brin d'idée" was recorded live at the end of 2010 after the tour, under the name of Harisona, without the Jam Muppets.
He continues right now to write some song and plan a new album with the Jam Muppets for this or maybe next year.
