Under the influence of his father,Tony Harmon began his lifelong relationship with the guitar at the age of eleven. He has studied with noted guitarists Patrick Read, Miguel Rubio, George Sakellariou, Ray Reussner, and Christopher Parkening.
At the age of 18, Tony was awarded the Outstanding Instrumentalist Award by the Northern California Arts Association. At the age of 21, he composed and performed the musical soundtrack for ABC television's The William Randolf Hearst Story.
Tony has made numerous television performances for special events on PBS, ABC, and CBS and was honored to perform for President Ronald Reagan at the Western White House.
Cancion del Sueno is Tony's third CD release. The first was "Tony Harmon...on the guitar" recorded live at the Mission La Purisima on the Central Coast of California. The second, "Tony Harmon...The Romantic Guitar," introduces the first collaboration between Tony and fellow guitarist Ray Pannell.
Tony continues to perform and seek opportunities in the world of music.
Ray Pannell joins Tony in several duets.Ray has worked in the studio with Steve Lukather of the band TOTO, with Lamont Dozier of Holland Dozier Holland, Frank Stallone on the soundtrack to Stayin Alive and Rocky III.
Ray has performed on the Johnny Carson Show,Arsenio Hall Show, Jay Leno, The Today Show and is a member of the Mary Wilson Band of The Supremes.
Ray and Tony have been friends for over twenty years and are very happy to have recorded this CD for your listening pleasure.
As always, minimal editing has been done to the music so as to retain the spirit of the live performance of the music at the moment it was recorded.
All songs were arranged by Tony Harmon.
