Album Notes

Laurie Wickenkamp and Barbara Hagist Comprise the group "One Harp and a Flute", provinding elegant music for any event where a timeless atomspehere is desired. Their repertoire focuses on original arrangements of Renaissance, Baroque and Classical music from Ireland, Scotland, England and Germany, featuring renowned composers such as Byrd, Morely, O'Carolan, Bach, Handel and Mozart, as well as beloved tradition tunes from those eras and seasonal Christmas repertoire when requested.

Barbara received her music degree from the University of Iowa and plays flute, piano and pipe organ. Laurie has a Bachelor of Fine Art from the University of Oklahoma and plays Celtic harp and violin.

This mother daughter duo has released two albums. The first album "Leaves of Gold" (also availble at CD baby)is a haunting collection of inspiring melodies from Ireland, Scotland and England. Their latest release, "A Christmas Rose" is a collection of Christmas carols from old Europe and early America.
