Album Notes

My name is Jennifer Harris and I’m a singer/songwriter from the state of Texas. My journey with music began as a little girl. I always loved to sing and you would often find me in the back room of my house practicing to every soundtrack I could get my hands on. But it wasn’t until my late teens that God began to speak to me about writing my own songs. I really did not think that was possible since I didn’t even play an instrument. But I knew God was telling me to take the steps to learn how to write my music down. My dad bought my sister and me a piano and I started playing around on it. I took a group piano class, which was very helpful and God began to give me songs. They would just pour out of me. I guess it is a release to what is going on in life. At first these songs consisted a lot of the pain I was facing. God deals with you where you are. But as I allowed Him to heal me, I began to see that I was writing about this healing and hope. Instead of wallowing in my past and my fears I began to see light. I cannot express in words the gratitude I have for my Jesus. If you ask anyone who knows me they will tell you of the transformation that God has done in me. Now I express this through my music. I know that God desires to bring each life from this state into something more than we can imagine. I pray these songs shine a light of hope and peace into all who hear.
