Wordmurder was recorded live at Las Vegas's "Freakin' Frog" with backing by the Tommy Marth Trio (who is also a backing member of The Killers). Beat-style poetry with a jazz edge.
"After many years in Law Enforcement a man gets chipped away by the sea of tragedy. This man has taken the fire of experience and forged a haunting combination of poetry, spoken word, improvisational jazz and punk rock to create a unique experience for the listener. The CD is a combination of life on the street, raising a family, the hilarity of life, the tragic sadness of poor choices and overall, the hope of always being able to pick back up, dust off and move forward. The CD is a culmination of years of litery writing and street performance and is a collection that will at a minimum, bring emotion and thought, and at its greatest moments, will leave you laughing at the human being in all of us. The final song, after a parade of improvised jazz notes and heavy drums, is a tribute to the great punk bands that helped shape the poet, and could only be wrought by the magic that is the lengendary Las Vegas punk band, The Vermin. Frontman Dirk Vermin, bassist Rob Ruckus and drummer Turbo provide the perfect finish to the album, with Fagel's rough vocals cutting a steely edge to the band's superfast and dangerous rhythm."
