Album Notes

Charlie Hartwell's music is dedicated to his love for the Divine, and is written and sung with a passion for his love of nature, people, and the divine energy which has been such a meaningful part of his life.

Charlie spent most of his career running companies, marketing products, starting non-profits. In 2005, his father died. It brought about a major transition in his life. He found a voice he didn't know existed and an ability to write songs that he didn't know he possessed. As he began to fully explore what was truly inside him, and inside all of us, music began to flow (and people said it sounded really good).

"Pilgrimage" was born out of a spiritual pilgrimage to Peru, but is in more of a folk tradition with some pop and rock influence. There is one song on the album (Love and Beauty) that is sung in a Divine langugae which Charlie was given as a child. As people listen to this song, some have reported seeing some amazing things in their mind's eye, and deep connections to the Divine.

The musicians on this album are truly phenomenal, and captured the essence of the songs and the energies that helped inspire them. Thanks to them, the songs come through with the energy from the places, mostly in Peru, where they were created from.

While Charlie has dedicated himself to sharing his voice with the world through music and writing, he is also passionate about helping others to speak their voice to the world. As a visionary, Charlie enjoys helping others to connect and speak the voice inside of them (not musically, but as more of a life guide).
