Album Notes

The Debut CD of The Harwell Grice Band produced by Doyle Lawson & Quicksilvers sound engineer: Key Chang HGB was formed in the fall of 2004 when members Spencer Young, Josh Grice, Matt Hubbard and Gabe Robey got together in college over a love of traditional music and decided to take a stab at playing it. After a few impromptu jam sessions they realized that they actually had something special and decided to form a band. After adding a stand up bass player into the mix they had themselves a true bluegrass group. Over the past few years HGB has grown from playing packed living rooms at parties to packed stages and bars while playing alongside some of the regions most predominate bluegrass acts. The guys of the HGB have grown in their musicianship and onstage presence to form one of southwest Virginia's most entertaining bluegrass acts. The Harwell Grice Band is: Spencer Young - Banjo/Vocals Gabe Robey - Guitar/Vocals Matt Hubbard - Mandolin/Vocals Josh Grice - Guitar/Vocals PJ George - Doghouse Bass/Vocals Check out our website at www.harwellgriceband.com for more info as well as upcoming shows, pics, etc.
