Album Notes

"There is nothing so compelling as a story well told."

Every Halloween, for over two decades, WTCM Radio in Traverse City, MI, has played host to "The Haunting of Northwest Michigan." This series of half-hour programs has gained a large and loyal fan base because of its inspired writing and spine tingling, classic storytelling.

Here is the complete "Haunting" stories collection, from the original five told in 1987, through 2008. Although set in northwestern lower Michigan, the appeal of these tales is universal. Because they were recorded over such a long period and on a wide range of equipment, the tonal quality will vary from track to track, but the result is the same: you will jump at every creak and thump in your house tonight.

Turn down the lights, snuggle close with someone, and prepare yourself for...
The Haunting.

Author/Producer Steve Cook is also the creator of "The Legend of Michigan's Dogman."
