Like so many, some of my fondest and happiest childhood memories were wrapped around the songs of The Carpenters, with Karen's voice, always the emotional bow! To this day, the distinct and haunting timelessness of her voice can still take us back to that time in life when things were much simpler and happiness didn't cost a thing. How many pivotal memories have been accompanied by their songs "Close To You" and "We've Only Just Begun"? For us, "Superstar" is significant in a most unusual way. For grateful Carpenter fans, thank you Karen and Richard!
