Album Notes

Aidan Hawken is a singer and songwriter based in San Francisco, California. As the lead singer and co-songwriter of Highwater Rising (highwaterrising.com), Aidan has written songs that have been featured in several feature films as well as virtually every major hit TV show including: THE OC, SEX and the CITY, NORTH SHORE, BOSTON PUBLIC, SUMMERLAND and ONE TREE HILL. The band\'s second album,The In Between, was co-produced by multi-platinum producer Eric Valentine (Smash Mouth, Queens of the Stone Age). With 8 of its 10 tracks licensed, the album is one of the most licensed independent albums of all time. The album also turned the head of radio trendsetter Chris Douridas, who highlighted his favorite songs and a live performance on his weekly radio show \"New Ground\" on KCRW in Los Angeles. The singles Coming Undone, Wasted Days, and Lie Awake were also added to numerous college radio stations nationwide. In 2005, Aidan released his first solo record titled Pillows & Records. Produced by JJ Wiesler, the record features 14 original tracks. The CD features Jim Bogios on drums (Counting Crows), Tom Ayres on guitar (Persephone\'s Bees), the legendary Chuck Prophet, Brett Simons on bass (Liz Phair) and Jason Borger on keys (Highwater Rising). An early demo of the title track was used in the 2004 season of THE OC and was in final consideration for use on one of the show\'s popular CD compilation releases. Aidan Hawken is currently on tour and can be reached on the web at: aidanhawken.com and highwaterrising.com

Love it
author: Phil
This CD has been in constant rotation in my car, at home, and on my iPod since I got it. The songs are consistently excellent and the entire album flows together even though it's not a theme album and doesn't "tell a story". Just incredibly great music from start to finish.

What talent
author: Braxton
I really enjoyed this cd. If you are a fan of Howie Day of other singer songwriters this guy is awesome. I strongly recommend him. He is a refreshing new talent and with a voice like that we can only hope he will go far.
