Hayfa Makes Music is an energetic collaboration of guitar-fiddle beats coming from Vancouver, BC. Inspired by adventure, movement, silliness and LOVE, the band’s music spurs audience involvement and invokes the most creative of spirits. Hayfa Makes Music\'s blend of rich lyrics, energetic beats, and foot-stomping fiddle weaves together folk, reggae, and rock. The music is born in an intricate patchwork of experiences from travels throughout West Africa, Asia, and North America, delivering thought-provoking, contagious music. The three-piece band includes classically trained and charming violinist, Alexandra Taub, whose 15 years of experience has developed her unique mixture of Celtic, classical, and rock violin. Lead singer Hayfa Abichahine, who has been making music with Alexandra for 8 years and has a real passion for writing, guitar, and singing. Influenced by artists and activists such as Michael Franti and Ani Difranco, her music comes from a place of genuine conviction. Completing the dynamic trio, drummer, Johnny Cullen, keeps the crowd guessing with his enthralling beats. Hayfa Make\'s Music is excited to have released the band \'s first album June 2008.
