The day of the heavy metal trio returns with Hazard County Girls..Taking as their inspiration Blue Cheer and Black Sabbath singer/guitarist Christy Kane, bassist Jennifer K., and drummer Sharon Heather play heavy rock with loud, distorted riffs and pummeling beats...each song is a sonic assault.
William Ruhlmann AMG All Music May 2006 Divine Armor Review
Jersey Beat
HAZARD COUNTY GIRLS - Divine Armor (www.hazardcountygirls.com) ) A
marvelously dark and brooding serving of hardcore Gothic gloom-doom rock
moodiness, done with a real skill and sense of incendiary emotion that's
truly something to hear. The mean, snarly'n'sneering hissed-through-clenched-teeth venomous vocals project a fiery passion and biting bitterness with genuinely alarming directness. The gritty guitar riffs, slithering basslines and incessant jackhammer drums whip up a swirling sonic stew of wonderfully raw'n'ragged punked-out garagey spew that's expectedly harsh and remarkably melodic at the same time. The steady chugging beats and slow, snaky-crawling tempos get under the listener's skin in a deceptively casual way. A very haunting, striking and overall most impressive album. - Joe W.

Brides of Sabbath
author: MidnightRyda
These women only get better with age and have riffage that harken back to a heavier time when Sabbath ruled all. Don't let the fact that they are women dissuade you from checking them out. They are representing NOLA in awesome fashion! Bands like them, Suplecs and the almighty DOWN keep the flag flying for heavy sounds coming from down south.

Nothing Short of Fantaboulous

Hazard County Girls' Divine Armor is by far the peak of their albums. It puts you (the listener) in a plight, being glad that you're not the one who had to be the murdered Knoxville Boy. Only one word to describe this album and that is, invincible! A lyrical stroke of genious by Christy and Hazard County Girls.

Divine Armor picks up where Never No More left off. Divine Armor continues the hard-driving trek through a dark, surreal night of one thousand hours. the music is driving and fluid, allowing you to get lost in gothic memory. HCG capture the dark thoughts that we all have and put them to a soundtrack that will make you question your own sanity.
