Album Notes

Ok, so I'm in a coffee house thinking..."What am I doing in a coffee house, and how long will I have to stay here?" Oh, yeah, I went there to see a couple singer songwriter friends who were sharing a gig in this particular coffee house. Opening for these two very veteran friends of mine was a very young, small girl with a big acoustic guitar. I soon learned it was Hannah Bingman peeking out from behind that big guitar and at first I thought she looked a little nervous. Now, I'm not convoluted enough to make comparisons to Joni, or to Jewel, or to any other female singer songwriter. And, I'm bright enough to recognize right from the start that this girl is special and stands on her own as a performer and as a songwriter. No comparisons needed...to anyone...except herself as she matures. That was several years ago and I've had the pleasure of seeing Hannah perform on many occasions and even have had the honor of having her as a featured performer at the PA Singer Songwriter Festival 3 years straight. Hannah, still small in size, and still with the dry humor at the microphone that gives her an appearance of being shy has grown into a very well respected member of the singer songwriter community. Hey, some of the top singer songwriters from New York City admire her... music people who aren't easily impressed are impressed... She's released 3 very fine albums, has played shows with some extremely talented singer songwriters and I hope she keeps writing and performing... We need to have performers out there with something to say.... and The Girl Has Something to Say. Dave Blackledge - owner of SingerSongwriter.ws and co-producer of the PA Singer Songwriter Festival

This is a great CD from a truly original singer/songwriter. Hannah's use of syncopated rhythms and alternate tunings are what make the CD unique. She's very young, but already well respected, and this is just the beginning...

Varied and compelling, with lyrics that often belie her youth
author: Mel Goldsipe, CoffeeHouseTour.com
... With instrumentations and vocal stylings that are varied and compelling, and lyrics that often belie her youth, Bingman’s songs are a nice mix of break-up angst, navel-gazing, storytelling, youthful protest, and sing-along lines. ... (Full review to be posted at CoffeeHouseTour.com soon)
