The Healing Waters Band spontaneously formed at Eden hot Springs in Arizona during a New Years Retreat held from December 2000 to January 2001. Originally, the band consisted of the core member: David Wolfe (drums), Dave Steinberg (guitar and vocals), and Tony Thorpe (bass and vocals). Jackie Ayala (vocals) joined the band in August 2001. Bill Greene (keyboards) joined in May 2002.
The band's debut CD "This Cooked Planet" is a musical masterpiece produced to big label standards by Rick Carr and mastered by multi-platinum legend Bob hata (Van Halen, The Smiths, Depeche Mode, etc.).
Now based in San Diego, California, the Healing Waters Band is operating out of www.rawfood.com world headquarters. The Healing Waters Band regularly tours with David Wolfe in the www.rawfood.com bio-diesel tour bus and plays at parties before, during, and after raw health seminars. The band is playing an increasing number of shows around the United States, Canada, and Europe.
The Healing Waters Band is committed to going all the way and having the BEST time ever every day. All members of the band eat entirely raw food. Each member has been rejuvenated, inspired, and impassioned by the power of raw-food nutrition. Essene prophet Viktoras Kulvinskas predicted that raw food would reach the masses through music. The Healing Waters Band has arrived to fulfill that prophecy.
