Album Notes

Heartour are the solo recordings of independent musican / producer Jason Young. Mr. Young has been involved in the independent music world for over 15 years as a drummer, composer, engineer and producer. Over the past 5 years WaterLoft Studios, his traveling recording studio, has released 4 indie records and has composed and recorded music for several movie soundtracks. Jason Young is the drummer and producer for rock sensation THE RUSE.

BIO From 2003:
Three is the debut album by electronic artist Heartour. Jason Young is the sonic architect behind Heartour. Having been a drummer for over 12 years and a DIY producer for almost as long, Jason has spent half of his young life in the independent music world.
Now at age 23, Jason has spent the past 3 years writing and recording abstract electronic music. "I really like the idea of sitting down and experiencing a record, almost like a meditation. So with my first solo record I wanted to create something that would give the listener a sense of peace and wonder... a feeling of separation from desire and fear." The result of this 3 year creative writing process is a mostly instrumental album comprised of deep rolling bass grooves and soaring synth textures punctuated by sparse beats.

This just may be the best Heartour album yet. It takes me on a magical journey from Goblin Town all the way up to Smog's mountain. The CD is my greatest adventure. Buy this disc and come fight evil with me.

Heartour is a refreshing CD that keeps my ears and mind busy. Many tracks are mello. The flow keeps moving and every listen brings with it a new gift for the ears not previously recognized. The percussion is thoroughly programmed and inspires my own music. I look forward to the next release by this artist.
